You Can...

I was sitting here going through my pinterest account, something I do far too often, and I was looking through a few specific boards..."God is Good!" "Dance" and "Photography" and I looked through them in that order. You are probably wondering why I am saying all of this, or what my point is...well I will tell you.

As I was searching for a new desktop for my computer in the God is Good category (I wanted to find an inspiring background) I saved several images with verses on them, all verses I needed to be reminded of like... (these are not written exactly like they are in the Bible, reference the Bible for the most accurate wording)

• Take heart I have overcome the world - John 16:33
• Come to me all who are weary and heavy burden, I will give them rest - Matthew 11:28
• I have loved you with an everlasting love - Jeremiah 31:3
• Fix your eyes on what is unseen not what is seen because what is seen does not last - 2 Corinthians 4:18
• Find rest, oh my soul, in God alone - Psalm 62:5
• Under his wings you will find refuge - Psalm 91:4

Simple, beautiful scriptures like that...but I wasn't satisfied, so I looked through my dance board to see if there was an image there that I liked better...that board just made me upset because I quit trying in dance when I had the most potential...I let words and actions from the people around me bring me down...and I gave it all up (I still continued to dance, just stopped trying and moving forward). That board brought pain to my heart so I went to my photography board because there are some beautiful images in there and I thought surely that can suffice as a new desktop. But I still felt empty and realized that I keep running from all of this when all I need is God, He and He alone! That is it!

It doesn't matter who tore me down in the past, or who is tearing me down now. He is ENOUGH. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you are not good enough or that you can't do something because they are wrong. You can do it, you may not deserve your dreams because no one does, we are all sinners but God has grace and he wants to make our dreams come true! So dream and dream big! Nothing will ever change or happen in life if you don't start with a dream!

Fallow your heart! and Take heart because [He] has over come the world! (that is the desktop I chose)

Of course it is happening inside your head, but why should that mean it isn't real?

Hello! Just random thoughts! I enjoy witty TV, I much appreciate it! Two shows I like are Psych, and Gilmore Girls! Both witty and funny!

God is Faithful

Tonight I want to post a praise! God is good! He is always faithful! I haven't been my brothers, they were my best friends, in over a year and four months. They moved away and didn't stay in contact. But they have moved away from the people they were living with and I got to visit them this weekend! And they were not as different as they had seemed! I got glimpses of my brothers! The ones I know! They are more mutate and their relationships with Christ have grown! And that is the main differences, which are both good! I was so terrified to visit them because I was worried about how they may have changed! But God showed me and reminded me that he is in control and that is he faithful!

So remember to praise God! And call on Him in all aspects and circumstances of life! That is my prayer for all!

A Simple Recipe, Pumpkin Spice

Hello!

I want to first start by saying Happy October! This is the month that I feel makes Autumn  come alive! The leaves begin changing, the temperature cools down, pumpkins are magically everywhere! The fall and winter smells are also my favorite! The spice pumpkin, apple cinnamon, and cinnamon spice--those are the best! I hope to be sharing some wonderful recipes later on in the season! I have a really easy pumpkin cupcake or cake recipe for you though!

-a can of pumpkin
-a spice cake mix

And that is it!! I always like to add cream cheese icing as well because that is delicious! This is a simple start and it is easy to expand and make the recipe your own! You can add cinnamon, or switch out the spice cake for chocolate cake! It really can be taken wherever your heart desires! So have fun with it!

I am terribly sorry I haven't been replying all that well. I would like to encourage you today to not leave any stone unturned and never go to sleep angry. Make things right with people around you no matter who you have wronged or who has wronged you.

I know this isn't always the easiest, but tomorrow is never promised so please make the most of today.

If you don't want to believe that go watch 99 Balloons on YouTube! Be prepared to cry though.

a little bit of art

Well, another staff break from work has arrived! KampOut is going really well! God is really doing some miraculous things in lives around here! Today, a little boy, age six, accepted Jesus Christ as is Lord and Savior! It was so unbelievable! It brought tears to my eyes! He is a beautiful creator and it was so coo to witness that first hand today!
This is a story I thought I would share with everyone!

Hello again!


I am currently on a night-off during my summer work with Kanakuk Christian Athletic Kamp! I have worked there for two and a half years now and I love it! Check out www.kanakuk.com to learn more information! They began a new kamp this summer called Kamp Out, which is what I am currently working for!
What Kanakuk Does:

• teaches the Bible to children (7-18) and Kamp out is 5-11
• gives an uplifting athletic environment
• healthy competition
• the ability and tools to go out and share God's perfect Word
• and so much more! Check out the site!

Well that is what my Christ sharing life currently looks like! We are studying the book of Esther this summer and the theme is Rise Up--Which is really awesome! We are getting to see God's faithfulness through Esther in the old testiment which has really been awesome!


Today's theme was Rise Up because He Rose for You! We talked about Romans 3:23 (for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God) and Romans 6:23 (For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus). This is SUCH good news! I don't know about you but man, that just gets me fired up! It is a FREE gift! He won't take it back, no matter how much I mess up after I ask Him to be my savior! Woo! 


I encourage all of you to check it out for yourself! Always check what someone tells you out in the Bible for yourself! Just to be safe!

Summer Challenge

Hello my fellow readers,

First off, I am sorry it has been so terribly long! Life happens and things get crazy! I will be away from electronics for a good majority of the summer because I work at a Christian summer camp, but I will be updating the blog on my time off! Yay!

Yesterday I had a night of worship and a small talk from Matt Houston, one of the directors at the camp I work at, and it really was a good reminder, or challenge really. So, I am going to share it with you!

This summer I challenge you to pray for what you don't believe will happen. Pray for the unthinkable, the huge. So many times we forget how big God really is, we put him in a small box. We have to remember he is THE creator of everything, and there is no way that could fit into a box. So, the challenge is to not only pray for the tiny prayers but pray big, pray out of your box. And wait and see how He really is big!
